Interesting, but forget the Americans. As good as Raymond Burke is and would be , it’s highly unlikely to happen.
Arinze would be a smart choice, but again, his age works against him. He will be older than Benedict was was when he ascended the the Chair of Peter, so we would be looking at a 7-10 year papacy at the most.
I jut can’t see an American getting elected pope, similarly I also think that the odds are against the Italians as well.
