The answer is “No” they didn’t.

Professional Catholics never show up for what the Church solemnly teaches if it goes against the culture at large.

My god, Jim.  I think these women have gotten into the Romulan gin!

This is not the first time we’ve seen these tactics from the pro-abort strippers featured here.

It seems that they believe they can “shake us” by shoving their rather unimpressive breasts in our faces.  Well, I’ve got news for them:  it’s not happening. Our kids just laugh at them. It’s getting really old, ladies…like your breasts!   Get a new tactic and save some self-respect for yourselves.

Still, if you want to be the “face” of the pro-abort movement…breasts and all, go for it!   Maybe you’ll get lucky and the CBC will interview you…but for some strange reason, your breasts never make it on the 11PM news!

So…uh…I guess this position and its expression is what the government and the establishment is trying to protect.  They must be proud.

After killing babies, what’s the next big “choice” on your list?  The “choice” of showing us your breasts in public ad infinitum?  Is that part of the “my body, my choice” rhetoric too?

Many years ago, I remarked that if you’re embroiled in a political fight today with Leftists on something you are trying to protect, you likely have already lost.  I understood this truth when we faced our opposition on the question of marriage.  The fact that the question of same-sex “marriage” was being raised and seriously considered was enough of a sign to prove that the boat had already left port.  What we were going through in the political fight was merely the details and the motions.  The fight was already lost.

The battles on contemporary moral questions that we see played out in front of us on a daily basis, for all intents and purposes, have been won and lost well before our time.  We lost on marriage because we consented to contraception. Acceptance of sterilized sex in principle is acceptance of sterilized sex in all practices.  It took 40 years to unwind marriage, but sterilized sex, of which sodomy is a species, has become legally recognized as a sexual expression.

That might be bad news in the case of marriage and the culture war surrounding that issue, but the principle goes both ways.  The Left can also start to lose their footing and foundation against the pro-life movement, to those who value human life in the abortion debate.  Right now, at this very moment, the Left is experiencing the same kind of attack that social conservatives experienced back in the 60s, but in reverse order.  In 10-20 years, when abortion is over-turned, everyone will look to see what’s playing out then, but little do they realize that they are only reaping the rewards or experiencing the defeat of what is being sown right now.

Right now, the momentum is shifting.  Right now, our numbers are growing.  Right now, their numbers are aging.  Right now, liberals are converting and changing their minds.  Right now, the mushy middle is becoming less mushy.  Right now, opinion polls are showing a decided shift to the pro-life ethic.  Right now, science is vindicating the pro-life side and making the pro-abort side look positively barbaric thanks to Kermit Gosnell.  Right now, people are being exposed to the truth of how abortion politics plays out in families. Right now, people are starting to realize the hypocrisy of the feminists who refuse to condemn gender abortions.  Right now, young pro-lifers are taking up positions of influence in government, media, law, politics.  Right now, pro-life politicians are throwing off totalitarian influences in government and demanding to speak for human life.  Right now, things are changing.

As I joined in the March today, I sensed a steely determination among so many people.  Resolute, calm, joyful, and hopeful that things will indeed change in our country on this question. In fact, it’s already starting to happen.  Most of the crowd are young people who have a genuine love for Jesus Christ and find abortion abhorrent.  The more they know now about its affects, the less likely they (if they ever find themselves in a difficult situation) will be to choose it.  The media and the politicians and the pro-abort establishment don’t see it happening, of course. They see some of the surface changes, but they don’t see the fundamental changes happening which will eventually transform how this country views abortion.  In their own self-righteousness and pride, our opponents do not expect any real change is coming. They judge by political winds, and by where the political climate is right now.  Little do they realize that history and the fate of a nation are directed by supernatural forces that they cannot begin to comprehend.   When the building collapses, people know that it’s more than its poor design.  Something made it shake and collapse.  That little earthquake had something to do with it.

Politics is a lot like Sports.  Once momentum shifts in a sports game, it can have a huge impact on the final results.  One team may be up by a sizeable margin – 3 or 4 goals in hockey, for instance – but an unexpected hit, a short-handed goal, something that rattles the other team -  and boom! – everyone can see that it’s only a matter of time before the comeback is complete.  Moral questions in politics are like that too.  Once you catch the momentum, it’s very hard to reverse course.  Right now, on the abortion issue, the momentum is on our side. We’ve got it all.  And there’s no stopping us, either.

We’re willing to take the hit. We’re willing to suffer for our beliefs.  We’re willing to go the whole nine yards…and never quit. Never. Never. Never.

We’re willing to recover what was lost and go after it with reckless abandon.

Eye of the Tiger, baby, Eye of the Tiger.

Show down in Puerto Rico.  Pope Francis faces early test to his authority with liberal bishop.

Folks, you will hear a lot of misinformation by the liberal media about how many people were at the March.  Don’t believe any of the pro-abort hucksters masquerading as objective journalists.  Everyone has an opinion on abortion, and if you belong to the secular media, you can be sure what that opinion will almost assuredly be.  The fact is that Campaign Life actually stands on a narrow street corner and counts in rows of 10 people as they pass by.  That’s as accurate as you are going to get.  As you can see by the HillCam pics below over the past few years, it is clear that our numbers are growing. Notice, the heavier density and wider coverage this year, for instance.

It’s getting bigger every year.  I give it about 5-7 years or even less before we cover the grounds completely and start overflowing on to the streets.  Then the Ottawa police will have a different kind of problem to contend with.  I’ve absolutely no doubt, however, that even if we were to shut down the entire Downtown core, the pro-abort media would be just racing to get the opinions of the bare breasted, pink-horned pro-abort counter protesters that number less than 200 (and that’s being very generous).  It’s all part of their “fairness” fantasy:  25,000 people vs. 200 people.  Same air time in order to keep “balance”.

March for Life  – 2013: 25,000

March for Life – 2012: 19,500

March for Life – 2011: 15,000

But they have a pic and link to Morgentaler.  They like to vomit up all the pro-abort rhertoric they can muster.

Ottawa’s own Archbishop Prendergast getting ready to be interviewed by EWTN’s Fr. Mark Mary and Canada’s own Kathleen Dunn of Dunn Media.  EWTN showed up to cover the March for the first time ever, while lesser known Canadian Catholic Media Networks took a pass once again.

After the March, some students whooping it up to some lively music.  Youth enthusiasm gives the March for Life that extra zing every year.

Sun News Network’s own Brian Lilley sharing his perspective in covering pro-life issues within a bastion of liberal media in this country. I’m sure he’s going to be up there with the martyrs of the Church one day, for all that he has had to endure in that industry.

Marchers heading home to the Hill after a lively March.  We made our voices heard for those who have no voice in our political system.

Thor, Captain America, Iron Man and the Hulk showed up too, to lend support to the March.  They figured they would show up just in case the angry pro-abort protesters got just a little bit too agitated.  Next stop will be to ensure Kermit Gosnell doesn’t escape from jail.  Hulk smash abortion!

Passing by Morgentaler’s abortion mill where lives are ended and lives are ruined.   Security guards present…’cause you know, pro-lifers are so violent….right…….

Center Pic of the Crowd on Parliament Hill.

Heading towards the Streets.  The cops held back about 2,000 people.  The reason is yet unclear.  I am sure it won’t stop the CBC from reporting that 20 people showed up.

Backside shot of EWTN interviewing Cardinal Collins from Toronto.  Cardinal Collins became visibly upset after the interview because Fr. Mark refused to tell him where he got that stylin’ hat.

Front shot of the interview.  Must be hot in that robe.  Suck it up and take one for the team!

Some media covering the speakers.  Wonder if we’ll get a fair shake this year.

MP Mark Warawa gives a prime ministerial wave to the crowd. A real hero for the unborn and for free speech.  Harper’s muzzle has been restrained…at least for a time.

Shots of the crowd…moving from East to West…..too big to get on one camera shot.  The technology simply does not allow for it!

CBC showed up.  Don’t expect much from them, however. They are very economical with the truth. That’s the only thing they are economical with.

Counter demo booing thruout O Canada. Chanting “my body, my choice, mon corps, mon choix” #MFL13

Right from the horse’s mouth, no less…the CBC!

What little and no class they have.

Just heard from a friend of the family that the cops prohibited the last 2000 people on the Hill from marching. Probably couldn’t handle the numbers. Too many people. In the future, there will be so many people on the Hill, it will overflow to the Streets. There won’t be any room to march.

For some great music, prayer, fellowship. Another successful march. Many people were impacted on the streets.

What a very, very sad bunch of people. In great need of mercy and forgiveness, even through their denial and anger. They seek acceptance for their abortions, but they won’t find it – in either this life or in the next life.

Arrived @ 12:45. Crowd is absolutely massive. Easily the largest ever. EWTN is here. So is the CBC. Let’s see if they tell the truth this year…for a change. Speeches happening now. The momentum is with us. I wonder if the fuddie duddies inside Parliament are clueing in. Doesn’t matter. The Commies didn’t get it either. Full report @ 11 with pics. Will chime in before we leave on the March.

Michael Voris rounds up a collection of Pope Francis’ hard-hitting statements that must have the liberals scratching their heads about what went wrong with “their” Pope.

Fr. Tom Rosica is mentioned at 4:40 as part of the liberal crowd.

Kelly Gordon, a PhD candidate in political studies at the University of  Ottawa, says it’s important to remember not every woman regrets ending her  pregnancy. Gordon and Paul Saurette, a political studies professor at the  university, are writing a book about how discussion about abortion is  changing. (Source)

This is true. For these people, something called “repentance” is relevant.  Just because you don’t feel remorse, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.  There’s plenty of people who commit serious crimes who don’t feel remorseful or hurting at all.  What’s society’s response to that?  Sympathy and understanding at such coldness and cruelty?  Not.

The solution is to reawaken their sense of right and wrong and to help them develop their consciences properly.

It’s not without surprise that we see such an attitude emanating from the Political Studies department of a Canadian University, where truth and decency are not exactly high commodities and where equivocations and relativism reign on high.

“I was pressured into the first two abortions. When I got pregnant the first time I wanted to keep the baby but my parents told me that if I did I would have to find another place to live. When I got pregnant a second time I insisted to my parents that I was keeping the baby. This time they agreed. It was not until my boyfriend’s mother and sisters called me and told me I was selfish and going to wreck my boyfriend’s life that I gave in. The pressure was just too much.”…(Source)

My friends, my friends, abortion is so dead.  We can see it not too far ahead.

Good turn out tonight. Well over 500 people.  Mostly youth.  Powerful testimonies. I have a hard time believing that we won’t make some real traction with the quality of the kids coming up through the movement.

One line really stuck out for me:  “If we don’t quit, we’ll win”.

When you have the truth on  your side, it is inevitable.  We just need to hear it more.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

Pope Francis doesn’t disappoint.  Reaffirms Catholic doctrine.

These Feminist Nuns need to be told even more clearly:  clean yourselves up or get out. Still, by the time the Vatican gets around to what they should have started like….uh…50 years ago, half of these lesbian radicals will be dead.

In 10-15 years, the problem fixes itself.  What’s the point, anyhow?  It’s all theoretical.  You’re going to try and convince the average aged sister of 73 that she has to get back to Tradition, after 40 years of living the “social justice” life?  Are you serious?

“Think of how much damage to the people of God has been caused by men and women of the Church who are careerists, climbers, who use the people, the Church, their brothers and sisters – those they should be serving – as trampolines for their personal interests and ambitions,” he said. “This does great harm to the Church.”

Gee. I wonder who he could be talking about?
