A Nation of Bastards

Back in 2005 when I put on the March for Marriage, I had to decide who was going to speak and who wasn’t.  It’s a difficult thing to do because you need to balance the speakers who have large followings and the speakers who are gifted orators and thinkers.

Prof. Douglas Farrow from McGill University belongs to the latter company. Unfortunately, he was the last speaker of the afternoon. He was, however, based on the crowd’s enthusiastic reception, one of the best ones on Parliament Hill.

He has just put out a  book with a  catchy little title.
