Obama and the consensus media would have us believe that the recent violence in the Middle East — that led to the tragic deaths of the US ambassador to Libya and three other Americans — was a spontaneous and random riot triggered by a dinky video of Mohammed. This lie has been debunked from two authoritative yet unlikely sources.
The Director of National Intelligence, the office that heads up the various U.S. spy agencies including the Central Intelligence Agency, recently contradicted Obama by calling the violence an organized terrorist attack:
“As we learned more about the attack, we revised our initial assessment to reflect new information indicating that it was a deliberate and organized terrorist attack carried out by extremists,” Mr. Turner said.
It still isn’t clear, he added, “if any group or person exercised overall command and control of the attack, and if extremist group leaders directed their members to participate.” He added that “some of those involved were linked to groups affiliated with, or sympathetic to al Qaeda.” (Source)
The second source was none other than the President of Lybia himself. Get a load of this candor:
In an exclusive interview with NBC News’ Ann Curry, President Mohamed Magarief discounted claims that the attack was in response to a movie produced in California and available on YouTube. He noted that the assault happened on Sept. 11 and that the video had been available for months before that.
“Reaction should have been, if it was genuine, should have been six months earlier. So it was postponed until the 11th of September,” he said. “They chose this date, 11th of September to carry a certain message.”
Magarief said there were no protesters at the site before the attack, which he noted came in two assaults, first with rocket-propelled grenades on the consulate, then with mortars at a safe house (…)
“It’s a pre-planned act of terrorism,” he said, adding that the anti-Islam film had “nothing to do with this attack.” (Source)
An article in Catholic Culture on this issue raises another important point that makes one wonder if terrorists haven’t infiltrated US security and intelligence networks:
Which leads us to the final outrage. After the initial grenade attack on the consulate, for several hours the US State Department did not know where Ambassador Stevens was. Yet the Islamic radicals did. They attacked the “safe house” where he had taken refuge.
How did the Islamic militants know where that “safe” house was located? How did they know that Stevens would be in Benghazi? We know that Benghazi was a stronghold of the rebels who ousted the Qaddafi regime. We know that Ambassador Stevens had been coordinating American aid to the rebels. Apparently there were some severe security leaks, and by September 11 of this year, America’s enemies knew more than our friends. (Source)
Obama’s foreign policy is a mess and it’s costing American lives. He needs to get the hook.
