Bill C-250, the so-called “hate crime” legislation against homosexuals, was passed by Parliament in 2004. On April 17 2004, Social Conservatives United and Free Dominion.ca organized thousands of Canadians on Parliament Hill to plead with the government to drop the bill before becoming law.
