Update: $375 in bids + $375 in donations = $750 raised (Dec.9, 5PM).
Many thanks to all of you who have participated in our little fundraiser. Would have liked to reach our goal, but $750 isn’t bad considering the little time we had to promote our fundraiser and considering the time of year.
Socon or Bust…doing its part to redeem the fraud of modern “social justice”.
As many of our readers know, the Social Justice industry in the Catholic Church has given us Catholics a very poor reputation. It was not always like this, of course. At one time the Catholic Church was almost totally devoted to doing the basics of genuine charitable work. Today, however, instead of engaging in authentic charitable activities like poverty relief, the professionals are busy funding pro-abort, pro-contraception, pro-socialist, anti-Catholic groups in the Global South. And when they’re not engaging in this behaviour, they’re out there pushing avante guard causes like “gender mainstreaming“, “climate justice”, and making sure we all do our part to cool the earth. All of this spending, of course, is financed by ignorant Catholics in the pew.
We’re going to try and raise $1,000 for them on Socon or Bust during this week, which of course, is not too far away from Christmas, a time to give alms to the poor. Read the rest of this entry »
It’s slow going, but we picked up a bid on the Sens tickets and a couple of donations. But there are two other items which are still great deals which have no bids yet. If you are not interested in making a bid, then consider a donation which is tax receiptable. Remember, today is the Feast of St. Nicholas and Catholics are morally obligated to give alms to the poor…
Times are tough raising money with the economy and all, but times are tougher for the poor kids in the Global South. When I think of the millions wasted on the abortion pimps, ”eco-justice” and “gender mainstreaming” by the CanChurch Professionals in this country, when the money could have gone to legitimate poverty relief, it makes my blood boil with anger. And it should make your blood boil too. You should be outraged and disgusted by it, and we need to send a message to the professionals that they’re no longer driving the bus.
If you’ve appreciated the work of Socon or Bust through the years, even a little bit, please consider donating. Even $10 is better than nothing. Everything helps. Children of Paraguay would like to send out a grateful thank you to everyone who attended our Annual Fundraiser at Dovercourt over the weekend. We raised $5,175, which brings us to $28,175 of our $60,000 goal for our multi-usage community center.
The entertainment from the various dancers, representing different cultures in the world was well worth the price of admission alone, never mind the glorious food which was offered! Click below to view the pictures from the evening. Click below to view the pictures from the evening.
This was truly a beautiful event for a beautiful cause. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the event. Socon or Bust will be doing a little auction-fundraiser for Children of Paraguay in early December….so save your Christmas shopping money for our auction!
Please join Socon or Bust in redefining ”social justice” and restoring the good reputation of the Catholic Church.
