A Terrible, No Good, Awful Night for Barack Obama

I’m pleasantly shocked:

March 16, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the prohibition of adoption to non-married couples is not discriminatory, because it applies to both heterosexual and homosexual couples equally.

It has also ruled that homosexual “marriage” is not a right under the European Convention on Human Rights.

I told you so. We’re going underground,folks.

The silver lining is that the poutine Catholicism we’re use to getting from the hierarchy is going to finally end. They don’t serve poutine where candles are no longer merely for decoration or aesthetics.

Story here.

This should be no surprise. That’s how the Left always game the system.

Create a crisis and then cash-in on public sympathy.

The chances of the media picking up on many of these inconvenient truths that are coming out about our Lesbian Buddhist anti-Catholic bigot is about as great as the current poutine hierarchy in the Catholic Church getting serious about its own teaching on human sexuality; that is to say, virtually nil.

“Marriage is founded on the glorious fact of sexual difference and its potential fertility….This is not to denigrate committed love of people of the same sex. This too should be cherished and supported, which is why church leaders are slowly coming to support same sex civil unions. The God of love can be present in every true love.” (Timothy Radcliffe)

I’ve been saying this for years, but this guy picked it up back in the 90s.  Communism never died.  Economic communism dipped for a while, but it’s coming back in the U.S.  Moral communism, however, only morphed and reinvented itself.

Tell me, honestly, are you really surprised by this story?

New York senators receive hefty donations from New York Mayor for gay ‘marriage’ vote

BY CHRISTINE DHANAGOM

Tue Jul 19, 2011

ALBANY, July 19, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) – The four New York Republicans who changed their votes to swing the New York Senate in favor of gay “marriage” all received hefty donations from New York city Mayor Michael Bloomberg, according to campaign finance records filed last week.

State Senator Mark Grisanti was the first of the four to file his report last Wednesday, reporting a $10,300 contribution from Bloomberg.

According to a City Hall News report, Bloomberg had promised before the Senate vote to financially support any Republican who voted in favor of gay “marriage.”(Source)

Two of the switcheroo Senators were actually Knights of Columbus…

This story highlights two things:

  1. As long as we stupid voters continue to elect such callous politicians, they will continue to press the envelope to see how much they can get away with. Much of the blame lies with us.
  2. It’s hard to count on anybody these days. So many people in positions of influence are eventually corrupted and fall away. Don’t let it happen to you. Stand up with a backbone. And don’t get discouraged at these things, because God doesn’t need large numbers to work his miracles. He just needs a small remnant of faithful.

A few weeks ago, Socon or Bust reported about sportscaster Damian Goddard who was fired by Rogers for tweeting his support of traditional marriage.

A new development has occurred in this case:

While New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan recently made a strong statement against same-sex “marriage”, the senate of the State of New York ignored his plea and passed a bill to legalize gay “marriage”. Since the state’s Assembly has already passed a similar bill and the Governor is a huge supporter, it’s essentially a done deal.

Michael Voris, commenting on Archbishop Dolan’s statement, predicted that his efforts would fail. He turned out to be right. What was the reason for his pessimism? As he explains on RealCatholicTV.com (scroll to the video at the bottom of the page), the teachings of many clergymen on this issue ring hollow because the ranks of the clergy are filled with so many gay men or supporters of the gay agenda. If you don’t have time to watch his whole video, just start at 4:50.

Even the New York Times, an avowed enemy of the Church, saw this hypocrisy when it wrote: Read the rest of this entry »

(Source)

Damian Goddard, a sportscaster from Rogers Sportsnet, has been fired for some statements he made on Twitter regarding his stance on traditional marriage.

The Toronto Star, in their usual lefty biased manner, has done their best to make Goddard look like a stupid anti-gay bigot.

Goddard wrote a tweet to support a sports agent named Todd Reynolds who expressed his disapproval of same-sex “marriage”.  Here’s the entire content of Goddard’s tweet: Read the rest of this entry »

It’s about time.

First bishop Fred Henry (Calgary).

Now Archbishop Daniel Bohan (Regina) and Bishop Donald Bolen (Saskatoon).

I could get used to this.

Many people have the impression that the Catholic Church thinks sex is bad.  This belief may have been reinforced by some over-reactions by members of the Church to the abuses of sexuality that have occurred in the last 50 years.  However, the Church actually teaches that sexual union, when properly understood, is very good.  It is sacred, beautiful and glorious!
