Benedict XVI kills three birds with one smooth stone:
1) uniting true Christians under Rome’s banner;
2) hastening the demise of liberal “Christianity” in the Church of England’
3) giving the liberal-dominated English Catholic episcopacy in the Latin Rite some competition for the Faithful (My guess is that within 2-3 generations, either the bishops of England sober up and start teaching the Catholic Faith or the Bishops of the Ordinariate simply replace them completely)
Within a generation, the Church of England and its liberal comrades in the U.S. are finished. The only thing left will be their money which will be given to some “charitable” cause, advancing eco-worship or the lastest social justice cause.
Frankly, I’m amazed at how blind sin can truly make you. It’s not like these liberal congregations are bursting at the seams. They all practice safe, sterilized sex. Either with a condom or a private part not capable of reproduction.
No kids, no life, no future. Just one final orgasm, before the last goodbye.
One of first-wave feminism’s great achievements in the 1970s was to end the denial surrounding wife abuse in even the “best” homes. Resources for abused women proliferated. Traditional social, judicial and political attitudes toward violence against women were cleansed and reconstructed along feminist-designed lines.
But then a funny thing happened. The closet from which abuse victims were emerging had, everyone assumed, been filled with women. But honest researchers were surprised by the results of their own objective inquiries. They were all finding, independently, that intimate partner violence (IPV) is mostly bidirectional.
…
Every major survey has borne out this truth. In fact, the most reliable, like Canada’s 1999 General Social Survey, found not only that most male and female violence is reciprocal, but also that the younger the sample, the more violent the women relative to men. A meta-analysis of mor than 80 large-scale surveys notes a widening, and concerning, spread – less male and more female IPV – in the dating cohort.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has just published its National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey to great fanfare. The survey’s central finding is – yep – that men and women inflict and suffer equal rates of IPV, with 6.5% of men and 6.3% of women experiencing partner aggression in the past year. More men (18%) suffer psychological aggression (humiliation, threats of violence, controllingness) than women (14%). Feminists often define IPV as a “pattern of power and control,” but the survey finds that men were 50% more likely to have experienced coercive control than women (15.2% vs 10.7%).
The whole feminist power-play about “domestic violence” is just part of the whole attack on masculinity and paternity in general. I am in no way dismissing true spousal and women abuse which has likely increased in this culture of death. But one must be able to distinguish and delineate between the facts and the politics of the question. Most of the “women’s violence” mantra is just dressed-up hatred of men, pure and simple.
If you watch commercials today on TV, the men are represented as being doofers and the woman is super-smart who can do it all. This is a consistent theme in commercials which my wife pointed out to me one day.
Many of D&P’s partners have this ”violence against women” mantra as one of their central objectives, which only goes to show that it’s not just the “biggies” like abortion and contraception that are the problem with the social justice industry in the Catholic Church. It’s many, many other areas of concern which attack the traditional family.
Believe it or not, this radically unorthodox ex-nun was head of Religion and Chaplaincy at Monsignor Johnson High School in Etobicoke, Ontario. Moreover, she reveals in her biography that she developed high school curriculum for the Catholic school Board and even for the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. She sat as an executive on the Catholic teachers union and was hired by the Faculty of Education at York University to teach theology to teachers working in the Catholic School Board. (Source)
Sure explains a lot concerning “Catholic” education in the publicly-funded system.
Where are the bishops? Oh wait, I know. They are being led around Haiti by the feminists while the apostates and anti-Catholic radical feminists decimate our schools and ravage our children.
There’s going to be a lot of sobering up on the Day of Judgement. Then again, the late Cardinal Ambrozic had a colourful epithet for womyn like Manning:
Manning, the 63-year-old former nun who became a teacher, a mother, a writer, a feminist and an indefatigable social activist, has been called “the scourge of popes and patriarchs.” It is an appropriate tag for a woman who takes her theology seriously and refuses to shut up when told to do so by members of the old boys’ club. (Which perhaps explains why Toronto’s conservative Cardinal Ambrozic once referred to her in a magazine interview as a “bitch”.). (Source)
Too bad the Ontario Bishops’ education committee didn’t clue in to Ambrozic’s colourful description about the substance of what was wrong with Manning.
The bishops of the Canadian church are a reflection of lost fatherhood in our culture. It’s all just sick and sad.
I’ve been saying this for years, but this guy picked it up back in the 90s. Communism never died. Economic communism dipped for a while, but it’s coming back in the U.S. Moral communism, however, only morphed and reinvented itself.
Their values represent the Old Society, exclusive, unjust, and impoverishing… where men and women…prefer to raise pets instead of children, and depopulate and disharmonize the Earth.
This is junk feminism, and furthermore, as I already said, it is in the hands of women who neither live as women, nor know the feminine soul, individual or collective. They ignore our daily battles; they are not the flesh and bone of a woman. They have no family ties or stable affections; they disdain those blessed ties of unconditional affection, indispensible for healthy human development.
They don’t admit that women opt for routes that are constructive for women, with an inclusive conscience, a maternal instinct, and a sense of family, of a couple, and of human brotherhood. They do not accept that men and women believe in a different future, and that we work together, creating the indispensable difference between today and tomorrow. (Source)
That’s a keeper of a label and I encourage everyone to use this label wide and far.
“Junk Feminism”. Indeed it describes today’s increasingly marginalized feminism.
…Despite the high pay and travel opportunities he had, Pauling insists there is truly no glamour in the porn industry. He talked about the guilt deep inside from the fantasy world he portrayed to potential models and the use of sex in a way God did not mean it to be used.
“They’re all daddy’s little girl,” he said. “No one wants to do that in their right mind.”…(Source)
That’s absolutely right. That woman is someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, someone’s mother, someone’s friend.
For all of the advancement of “women’s rights” in the twentieth century, there hasn’t been much true advancement. There’s been lots of marketing and lying and euphemisms about “women’s rights”. There’s lots of talk about women’s rights.
But none of that means women are more fulfilled or happier, treated with more dignity, or valued and esteemed. Actually, it’s the exact opposite.
The culture and most women have bought into a finely packaged scam.
It’s time for true liberation which is a liberation from sin and degradation and an attack on, as John Paul II said, the “feminine genius.”
So much for women’s rights. You went too far with abortion, your attack on Christianity, and other feminist goals.
Now, you’re going to pull women back centuries. How’s that working for you?
Islam is a reaction to the West’s pornification and chattelization of women. But the irony is that the West’s culture of death and Islam’s distorted view of human dignity both treat women like objects.
Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada: Not Just Tea & Biscuits The Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada (WICC) was originally established to further unity among Christian women and to co-operate with one another in advancing common Gospel values. Since the 60s, however, the organization, like many Church groups, has completely lost its original mandate and actually works against the values of the Gospel by promoting the objectives of radical feminism. The group spans across Christian denominational boundaries and includes women from most of the mainstream denominations including, not surprisingly, the Catholic Church. Acting on a tip from a reader, Socon or Bust conducted a preliminary investigation into this group where it was discovered that Catholic parishes have been involved in hosting events sponsored by this group. In addition to using Church property, this group has been responsible for collecting money from unsuspecting Catholics to fund their radical feminist agenda. This is a great quote from Chesterton, courtesy of the Catholic Breadbox:
It [feminism] is mixed up with a muddled idea that women are free when they serve their employers but slaves when they help their husbands.
–G.K. Chesterton
Brilliant.
Chesterton died in 1936. He had yet to see the full wrath of the feminist movement of the post-War period, one which would pull-off the greatest mass hallucination of all time by duping otherwise rational humans into believing that killing babies is an awesome lifestyle choice. It’s hard to believe that a “civilized” society could fall so low.
Feminism has been our scourge. It has wrecked our society and, ironically, has made it a planet of horny men looking to exploit and own women because, in part, there’s a shortage of females. And why is there a shortage of them? Because feminists believe in the absolute right to abort their own gender. How’s that for “liberation”?
The inevitable clash between feminism and Islam is underway in Europe. So far, it’s no contest: feminism is losing ground fast. Not on abortion, but rather on more fundamental issues, such as the equality of the sexes before the law. So while abortion rights remain intact, more basic human rights are being eroded. Sad irony. Read this article to understand what I mean and get some concrete illustrations.
Feminism appears unable to successfully cope with Islam. Why? As the article explains, feminism is a movement of the Left, whose new religion in Europe is multiculturalism: Read the rest of this entry »
