24-year-old Tiffany Gillespie was pregnant with her third child when she was shot to death by her boyfriend Aaron Fitzpatrick, according to a police report. The murder happened on February 16. Police described the victim’s relationship with Fitzpatrick as being “troubled.” The police maintain that Fitzpatrick killed Gillespie because she was pregnant with his child and refused to have an abortion. Hello fellow Helpers,

I would like to ask to for some special prayers for Brigitte’s baby.  I had requested prayers for her and her baby a couple of weeks ago.  The appointment with the abortionist is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday), so we need to pray.

Also, I received this in my inbox last week:

Heather, a friend from high school, is 4 months pregnant.
The baby’s father has just said that he’s not able to support them so she’s quite distressed. She has a 2-year old and is currently living with her parents in their small home. She’s been advised that abortion is the best option so that her older daughter will have a better life.

We also need to pray for Nathalie and her baby.  She is about 9 weeks pregnant.  The relationship with the baby’s father is a bit rocky and she feels isolated and is contemplating abortion.

Please pray for these three babies.

Also, we will be holding vigil on Bank St. on Thursday May 19th, please come if you can.  Even though these children won’t necessarily be brought there (we don’t really know where the abortion(s) are scheduled), this special sacrifice of leaving the comfort of your home to pray for unborn children is so important.

Also, we will be at the Human Rights Monument on Elgin Street on May 12th, during the March for Life.  We will meet at 1pm and pray for the duration of the March.  We will then join the marchers at the tail end of the March.

For those who don’t read French, here’s a short summary:
About 60 counter protesters showed up. One man started tearing the 40 Days for Life banner.  There were many animated discussions between the pro-lifers and the pro-aborts regarding fetal development, the abortion procedure and the like.  One priest was stalked through the park as he was praying the rosary. A yound couple had decided to get on their knees to pray and the pro-abort crowded them immediately and began playing loud music and hooting to cover their prayers.  The other pro-lifers then came around to sing polyphonic latin chants. One pro-abort got his hands on a rosary, tore it apart, crushed the crucifix and threw the beads onto the heads of the kneeling prayers. Finally the police showed up at 4pm which was the time the organiser had planned for the closing ceremony to be over.  The pro-lifers then went to a nearby convent for prayer and a social.
May God bless these courageous prayer warriors who so patiently endured the mockings of the pro-aborts.

Women victimized by abortions done at the filthy and poorly-run abortion center owned and operated by Kermit Gosnell are coming forward to talk about their experiences and how they were injured by abortion.

Gosnell has been charged with eight counts of murder and several of his staff at the abortion center, including his wife and sister-in-law, have been charged as well in the case with assisting in botched abortions, practicing medicine without a license or covering up the actions of those who did. The counts include grisly infanticides that involved Gosnell snipping the spines with scissors of babies who had purposefully been prematurely born so they could be killed moments later.

Davida Johnson is also speaking out about the abortion Gosnell did and she said the abortion facility he ran was filthy — with women sitting on blood-stained recliners. She told the Associated press she had a change of heart about the abortion but was forced to continue the abortion.

“I said, ‘I don’t want to do this,’ and he smacked me. They tied my hands and arms down and gave me more medication,” she told AP.

The case of a Calgary woman convicted of killing her boyfriend when he tried to force her to get an abortion has renewed the debate around Canada’s abortion laws days after Parliament voted down a law that would have made it illegal to coerce a woman into ending the life of her child. Melinda Morin, 29, was convicted earlier this month of manslaughter for stabbing her boyfriend, Barry Neil Godwin, 48, to death in their Calgary apartment in November 2009. Morin’s lawyer argued that she killed Mr. Godwin in selfdefense after he kicked her in the stomach because she refused to get an abortion. The court rejected her self-defense argument, ruling that while she was provoked into stabbing Mr. Godwin after he kicked her, she wasn’t in fear for her life. But pro-life groups say the case highlights Canada’s lack of clear legislation around abortion and urged politicians to reconsider a bill that would have outlawed the act of coercing a woman into abortion. The case is “further evidence that in fact in Canada abortion coercion does exist,” said Faye Sonier, legal counsel with the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada. “As Canadians, this is something we can discuss in light of this case. It’s something worth discussing as we know women are vulnerable when they’re pregnant.” …(Source)
