Building A World of Justice with a Panelist from “Catholics for the Right To Decide”
Posted on March 29th, 2011 by Paycheck in Catholic Scandals, Development & Peace
THERE WILL BE A PRAYER VIGIL OUTSIDE OF THE DIOCESAN CENTER.
THIS PRO-ABORT-ENABLING GARBAGE HAS GOT TO END…
OR AT THE VERY LEAST BE CONFRONTED.
In an article about the event published by the pro-abortion news service CIMAC, Arriaga is also quoted as saying that in the struggle for women’s rights, “we recognize the support of the activity carried out by Consuelo Mejía and the PUEG, who have taught us lessons about new types of human relations, for the consolidation of an egalitarian society.” (Source)
DETAILS OF PRAYER VIGIL
WHERE: 1247 Kilborn Avenue, Ottawa, Diocesan Center
WHEN: 9AM-Noon
WHY: To expose the pro-abort corruption in the Catholic Church and witness to the Truth…no matter who our opponents are or the power they wield in the Church.
PROGRAM: To be announced.
Socon or Bust reminds his grace, Archbishop Prendergast, that he must stand for the Gospel of Life at all times, and not give cover or be seen to promote the activities of pro-abortion-enabling priests. In the name of the Unborn Child, Socon or Bust calls on the good Archbishop to withdraw his participation in this event and cancel the event entirely.
Contact the Archbishop @ archbishop@ecclesia-ottawa.org, and respectfully let him know how you feel about his participation in this D&P event.

A quick refresher on Fr. Arriaga:
In August of 2009, after LifeSiteNews had already uncovered his organization’s pro-abortion stance, and after the group had made similarly vague denials of involvement, Arriaga personally attended and participated as a panelist in the forum “Catholics for the Right to Decide: 15 years of struggle and hope in favor of the human rights of women and young people,” which celebrated the 15th anniversary of the group. Catholics for the Right to Decide is an organization whose primary goal is to achieve the legalization of abortion on demand throughout Latin America. Its parent organization in the USA, Catholics for Choice, has been roundly condemned by the American bishops for it’s advocacy of the murder of the unborn. (Source)
Sometimes, folks, it’s just like living in the twilight zone when the hierarchy insists on being everyone’s friend….but this can’t continue forever.
The Lord cannot be mocked indefinitely by his own priests. Fr. Luis must be corrected. Something has got to give.

Great idea on the “Protest & Prayer” vigil. Looking forward to hearing the details.
Is “Miguel Agustin Pro Juarez” Spanish for “Catholics for the Right to Decide”?
No. He just sat on their panel.
Pope Paul VI was absolutely correct about the “Smoke of Satan” entering the Church. We have to evangelize these idiot heterodox Catholics including most Canadian Bishops first before we evangelize the world.
Have you seen any specific quotes of what he said at the “Catholics for the Right to Decide” panel? The lifesitenews article doesn’t really give a lot of information.
While the article gives enough information to make me really wary of this priest, I don’t think its enough that I would feel comfortable confronting him, especially if he is being introduced by the bishop. For all we know, he could have spoken at that panel to try to convince them that abortion should remain criminalized (unlikely, I know, but without an actual quote, I just don’t know).
Neil, the LifeSite article reported this:
“….Fr. Arriaga and the Miguel Agustin Pro Juarez Center (PRODH) have been involved in abortion advocacy since at least 2005, signing numerous pro-abortion declarations and opposing a pro-life amendment to the constitution of the state of Jalisco. However, this news agency has recently learned that both PRODH and Fr. Arriaga also personally support the pro-abortion organization “Catholics for the Right to Decide,” a group condemned by the Catholic Church for promoting the legalization of abortion and falsely claiming that killing the unborn is compatible with Catholic doctrine.”
Innocent?
Hardly.
We need to show up and pray for him….. and for our Diocese….
I wrote to the diocese, and rec’d a reply back from Sarah Du Broy, stating that “Father Arriaga’s speaking engagements have been cancelled.”
She explains that “Because the Centre’s support of abortion rights in Mexico is incompatible with the Church’s defence of the right to life from conception to natural death and in order to eliminate any doubt about this, Father Arriaga’s speaking engagements have been cancelled. ”
I wish I could forward the email, but rest assured, that Archbishop Prendergast is solidly pro-life. Halelujah!
