In the Catholic Church today, the Church’s current hierarchy makes no pastoral distinction between those who can worthily receive Communion and those who cannot, in direct violation of Canon 915 of the Code of Canon Law.

For our hierarchy today, there is no difference between the Lady and Gentleman on the one hand and the unrepentant Prostitute and Gigolo on the other.

They both have the same rights and privileges in receiving the Eucharist.

Sign the petition and ask the bishops to kindly move the distinction the Church makes from theory to reality.

The answer is yes.

Everyone except the atheists.  As the demon-possessed body levitates and twirls around the room, they still believe in their religion with dogmatic fervour.  Must be something in the air…tornado or something.

VATICAN CITY, May 3, 2014 (LifeSiteNews.com) – At the first annual Rome Life Forum in Vatican City today, fifty-two pro-life leaders from sixteen nations called on the bishops of the Catholic Church to deny Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians in a spirit of love and mercy. (Source)

We, Pro-Life Leaders, Call on the Bishops of the World to Extend Mercy to the Church’s Pro-Abortion Politicians

WHEREAS Saint Paul wrote in the eleventh chapter of First Corinthians: “For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgment to himself, not discerning the body of the Lord” (1 Cor. 11:29); WHEREAS Canon 915 of the Church’s Code of Canon Law states that those who are “obstinately persevering in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion”; WHEREAS Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger wrote in a 2004 letter to the US bishops, called “Worthiness to receive Holy Communion”, that a Catholic politician who votes for permissive abortion and euthanasia laws “must” be denied Communion after being duly instructed and warned; WHEREAS Catholic politicians who support abortion are already in grave sin, and in receiving Holy Communion their sin is compounded by sacrilege; WHEREAS by being given Holy Communion such Catholic politicians may well believe that they are spiritually healthy and thus not in need of any remedy; WHEREAS distributing Holy Communion to pro-abortion politicians causes scandal to the rest of the faithful in that they come to believe that support for abortion is not too serious a sin, and thus undermines pro-life work; WHEREAS being refused Holy Communion is an effective wake-up call to return to an authentic life of faith; WHEREAS it is unmerciful to allow our brothers living in obstinate public sin to languish there without warning; We the undersigned ask the Bishops of the Catholic Church to withhold Holy Communion from pro-abortion politicians as an act of love and mercy towards those same politicians.

PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING OUR LEADERS IN AN ONLINE PETITION TO CALL FOR THE DENIAL OF COMMUNION TO OBSTINATE PRO-ABORTION POLITICIANS.

The petition is the same, except the words “Pro-Life Leaders”, has been changed to “the Catholic Laity, Priests, and Religious”.

Before we decided to sell out as a Church, open the doors to the world, and let all the crap in, St. Athanasius had another idea.

I much prefer his model to the one we’ve adopted.

I believe personal morality should be framed by the individual, and while I agree passionately with marital fidelity I would not want to be part of a college that tried to impose such an idea from above. (Source)

This comment, along with many others, prove that Coren no longer has much of any kind of credibility as a Catholic.  He has effectively personalized morality to individual tastes and refused to accept the idea that we are not only accountable to ourselves, but also to the larger Christian community and ultimately to God.

And to claim that Gays have to “forever refrain from sex” is some kind of boogeyman and totally unrealistic, Coren is dismissing the sacrifices of many people who choose to be chaste their whole lives in accordance with what Jesus taught – whether single, religious, or clerical.

Story here.

But the drive-by shooting has already been done.  Liberals and their shills in the media just lie and push forgeries or fabrications just before Easter every year, and by the time they’ve been busted, it’s yesterday’s news and no one’s interested in the story any more because impressions have already been formed.  Despicable.

You get to know a lot about an organization by looking at its leaders. Both John and I learned this first-hand when we served on the Board of Directors of a local charity in Ottawa.

The Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Free the Children USA is Eva Haller. She’s also on the Board of Directors of Free the Children International. Just six months ago, in October 2013, Ms. Haller received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). For those of you who are not aware, the UNFPA is the United Nations arm responsible for pushing contraception around the world. In fact, in November 2012, less than a year before Ms. Haller received her award, the UNFPA declared contraception a “universal human right,” which even drew the attention of the mainstream media. Five months before Ms. Haller’s award, in May 2013, the UNFPA rose to new heights of philanthropy by announcing a partnership with Planned Parenthood to make sure contraception was readily available to “post-conflict and post-disaster countries.”  After all, in the aftermath of national emergencies, these countries need condoms much more than food, water or housing.  Everyone knows that.

But it gets worse. At the award ceremony, Ms. Haller proudly handed a trophy to Anzaira Roxas, the Deputy Project Coordinator at the Family Planning Organization of the Philippines (FPOP), which is a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. In addition to handing out 339,000 condoms in the Philippines in one year, Ms. Roxas’ team also lobbied the Filipino government to pass the infamous Reproductive Health Act, that insidious piece of anti-family legislation which the Filipino bishops have fought tooth and nail.

It turns out that Ms. Haller is married to Dr. Yoel Haller. He’s now retired, but he was an obstetrician/gynecologist who served as Medical Director for Planned Parenthood of the San Francisco-Alameda Counties. Mr. Haller is currently on the Advisory Board of Directors of Free the Children (scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the “Advisory Board of Directors” tab).

This information about two prominent members of Free the Children should give you some context about where the organization is coming from when it speaks of “reproductive health” and “family planning”.

This may seem like “guilt-by-association” evidence, and while it does not rise to the level of smoking gun evidence that has been gathered thus far on Free the Children, the perspective of people who serve on one’s Board says quite a bit about the DIRECTION of where the organization is going.  That’s what a Board of Directors does, after all.  It gives direction on how the organization’s resources are deployed, how the organization carries out its mission, and what kind of guidance it provides to its employees.   A slip-up on a website can always be excused and blamed on an ‘intern’ or a ‘mistake’.  Making a deliberate choice for the direction of a charity is a different ball game altogether, and in some respects, is even worse than direct “smoking gun” evidence.

Marc Kielburger says that Free the Children takes “no position” on abortion or contraception, but apparently he has no problem inviting decorated anti-life activists on to the Board of Directors of his organization.  To provide what advice, precisely?

Perhaps he has fooled himself with a make-believe distinction in his head that sees no technical problem in seeking large sums of money from Catholic institutions, organizations, and school boards for his organization, while concurrently seeking official, formal direction from individuals who seek to destroy what the Catholic Church seeks to uphold; namely, the sanctity of human sexuality, human life, and the family.  Just how does that moral calculus work?

The problem here, of course, is really not with the Kielburgers.  It’s with us.  We’re the problemDevelopment & Peace, Free the Children, and every other unCatholic organization out there has seen easy pickings in the Catholic Church, ever since we decided to outsource “social justice” to groups who share 95% of our values but reject the 5% on which all the others hinge.

We don’t take control or protect Catholic identity any more, and then when the next scandal hits, we sit around a board room table wondering how this could have happened!

Today in the Canadian Church, we just send money to Bill Clinton’s friends who are obviously looking out for the best interest of the family and the Church’s teachings.  We learn to make excuses and compromise our convictions because we don’t want to do the heavy lifting.

I call it Catholic by proxy.

“Many of us donated our life savings. … This is our home,” Li Xile, a local from Wenzhou, told the Times.

When the liberals get their chance here in the West, they’ll do the same.  The gentle, tolerant and diversity crowd that they are.

With God’s gift of hindsight, I see now that those moments of panic, fear, and anger were some of the greatest moments of my spiritual growth. (Source)

People sometimes fail to realize that having a larger family is not only being open to life but also being open to spiritual growth.

Spiritual growth simply cannot happen without suffering.

It’s a good thing that Marc Kielburger says that sexual and reproductive programs are not part of Free The Children’s mandate.

“Please allow us to be clear however, that our staff at the Baraka Health Clinic do not proactively provide contraceptives, as it is not part of our holistic model.” (Source)

It sure is a good thing that we believe him and the OCSB before we believe our own eyes.  It’s not like mountains of direct, contradicting evidence should sway us one little bit.  No siree.  We must insist on assuming the good intentions, even to the point of absurdity.

Dear Friend in the Faith,

I would love for you to know about a new independent film that I am trying to finish.  It is called The Hidden Rebellion and it showcases the brave defense of religious liberty by the Catholic farmers of Vendee during the French Revolution. Surprisingly, this story means a lot to America now…

The production has been noticed by the National Catholic Register, as you can see here:

The Hidden Rebellion shows incredibly heroic lives, full of sacrifice and forgiveness, as you can see in the trailer.

Powers in education and the media have scrubbed clean the French Revolution because they want to advance the same goal in America. But we are now unraveling a possible genocide perpetrated by this Revolution.

If we succeed in showing on the Big Screen the truth about what happened, I am sure that we will change many, many hearts…

If you feel that the defense of religious liberty is important, and you have an inkling that an attractive docudrama could be a wonderful tool in that defense, I would really appreciate it if you could make a small contribution, and become an associate to this production.

This is a difficult month because I need to pay editors. I left my position as producer at the EWTN television network to produce this show. Without help, the process will stop.

Don’t allow this to happen! – because I think that we hold something very precious here.  Please, help me create a docudrama in honor of all those faithful who died at the hands of the first atheistic state.

With gratitude, this Easter Season,

Daniel Rabourdin

Birmingham, AL

Formula of Canonization

The Holy Father:

For the honour of the Blessed Trinity, the exaltation of the Catholic faith and the increase of the Christian life, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, and of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and our own, after due deliberation and fre- quent prayer for divine assistance, and having sought the counsel of many of our brother Bishops, we declare and define Blessed

John XXIII and John Paul II

be Saints and we enroll them among the Saints, decreeing that they are to be venerated as such by the whole Church.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

- Pope Francis

A real, honest to goodness definition.  Maybe this idea catches on in the Church!

“Yes, Bill, I see it too.  The end of the road for abortion.  Thanks for the ride, but you were no competition in the end.”

Wow. Just wow.

I don’t think the culture of death quite gets it.

Let’s get it on!
