This is truly a great Pope.

During lunch, the Pope told the cardinals that “we see how evil wants to dominate in the world and that it is necessary to enter into the fight against evil.” He added that although the term “the Church Militant” is deemed “a bit out of fashion” these days, it is actually the phrase that best “possesses the truth.” This evil, he said, manifests itself in many obvious ways through “different forms of violence” but, more subtly, it can also be found “masquerading as goodness, and thus destroying the moral foundations of society.”

Back in 2003, I sat beside soon-to-be Premier Dalton McGuinty at an All-Candidate’s Debate in Ottawa South.  You can hear my opening and closing remarks below.

As you will hear in the clip, I was rather animated and “direct” about McGuinty’s pro-gay, anti-religious freedom stance.  Most people did not really see the danger of McGuinty’s position, or if they did, they didn’t bother getting too worked up about it.

I didn’t pull any punches then, because I knew what was coming down the pipe for our Catholic kids today.   And I was right.  What was “unthinkable” 10 years ago with homosexuality in Catholic schools is becoming the standard fare today.

With the current “Anti-Gay Bullying” Bill just months away from becoming law and affecting Catholic education forever in this province, I think my remarks were spot-on. 

I even told the crowd assembled at that Debate that their problems would be 10 times worse in 10 years.  Well that was 9 years ago.  We’re well on the way for that prediction to come true.  And we’re further along in losing our religious freedom.

Without the necessary resolve and leadership, we Catholics – and what I mean by that is real Catholics – are well on the way to second-class citizenship in Ontario and in Canada.

I am amazed, really, at just how clueless and naive the regular Joe Six Pack Catholic is….or maybe I am just amazed at how little their religion means to them.

Either way, a pruning is happening because this Gong Show is coming to a quick end because God really does want to know if we’re all serious about being Catholic.

Well, it looks like the “Anti-Gay Bullying” Bill is making its rounds in the province.    The “Bill 13 Committee ” will be in Ottawa today to listen to the concerns of parents and other “stakeholders”.

The truth of this Bill, as everyone already knows, is not really about bullying Gay students.  It’s about advancing an agenda and bullying students in the Separate School system and shaming them into accepting Sodomy as a legitimate way of life. If there is any bullying going on, it will be against Faithful Catholic Kids as the Gay activists and their sycophants use this latest canard – like they do in just about every other arena - to punish dissent and make sure everyone learns the language of “Gayspeak” and dutifully and obediently conforms to it.  Read the rest of this entry »

I can’t vouch for the authenticity of the message that this woman received, but I can tell you that this is precisely something that the Lord would indeed say. It has the ring of authenticity to it and it cuts right to the heart. Very powerful and very true.

It is all about contraception.  Abortion is just the camoflage. We will never, ever defeat abortion without taking out contraception and its mentality, first.

“No” to Life during sex means “No” to Life after sex.  Not for everyone, but for the vast majority it is.  That is precisely where the rubber hits the road, so to speak.

Wow. Just wow.

A lesbian couple who claimed they were victims of a hate crime have been arrested after police determined they staged the incidents.

On Oct. 28, Aimee Whitchurch, 37, and Christel Conklin, 29, called police and reported the words “Kill the Gay” were scrawled in red spray paint on the garage door of their Parker, Colo., home.

The next day, the couple told deputies they found a noose hanging on the handle of their front door.

The women told officers they believed the incidents were retaliation from their neighbors and homeowner’s association, who had complained the couple did not pick up after their dogs.

Due to the nature of the crimes, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office worked in tandem with the FBI to investigate. After reviewing witness statements, authorities determined Whitchurch and Conklin had staged the incidents.

Both women are charged with criminal mischief and false reporting. Whitchurch faces an additional charge of forgery.

She told ABC’s Denver affiliate KMGH-TV police were mistaken and vowed to fight the charges.

“This is a fight I started. This is a fight I’m going to finish. This is a fight I’m right on,” she said. “I have every right to live where I want to live.” (Source)

A Pennsylvania man who wanted his girlfriend to have an abortion and wound up crushing his baby daughter’s skull shortly after her birth, is heading to prison for life without the possibility of parole…(Source)

A few seconds earlier, and this “reproductive rights” champ would have been given an award by Obama for upholding a woman’s “right to choose”.

But, you know, Harper does not want a debate because the status quo is working just swell.

It would seem that all of the arguments being put forward against MP Stephen Woodworth’s motion proposing a re-examination of the definition of what constitutes a human being, are political in nature.  I have yet to hear a reasoned argument against the motion itself, i.e. providing solid evidence that an unborn child is not indeed a human being.

What if it turns out that we are right now denying the most basic of human rights to certain members of our society?  We’ve been wrong in the past regarding similar assumptions that in the mainstream were taken as a given; women, for instance, were not considered persons under Canadian law until 1929.

Only by putting aside the rhetoric and the slogans, and holding a full and honest debate, can we get to the bottom of important societal issues.  Shame on our Parliament, and on Canada, should we lack the courage to do so.

This victimology is all about taking our focus off of the ONE TRUE victim who is Jesus Christ.

When – oh when – are we going to get leaders who are going to put these “Catholics” in their place.

When are we going to get bishops who finally pull the plug on this pathetic Gong show that mocks our Faith every passing day.

This “pastoral” approach hasn’t worked in 40 years, and it’s working even less now.

The bishops either take control of the School System or cut bait and start again.  But this sham spectacle has to end one way or another.
